Peace is not the absence
of conflict - it is the fertile ground where prosperity
grows. We envision a world without borders where all
inhabitants can enjoy unlimited abundance. For our
part, we will be doing peaceful, fair trade business worldwide and
contributing to worthy causes.
It is our goal to offer socially-responsible products, and to tithe at least
10% of any profits to support humanitarian health and
educational missions.
---------------------About
the Symbol-----------------
The symbol originated as the logo of the Campaign for
Nuclear Disarmament (CND). In the United States and much
of the rest of the world it is known more broadly as the
peace symbol.
It was designed in 1958 by Gerald Holtom, a professional
designer and artist and a graduate of the Royal College of
Arts. It was designed from the naval code of semaphore,
and the symbol represents the code letters for ND –
Nuclear Disarmament.
The symbol is not one of protest; it is a symbol of unity.
It is fitting today that the symbol’s meaning embraces
the ideas of peaceful resolution of conflict, peace in
general, and the need to disarm nuclear threats worldwide.
